Captial Acquisitions Grant Program

Provides grants to non-profit cultural organizations for the acquisition of land and/or buildings located in Miami-Dade County that will be used for public cultural arts programming purposes. Requests for planning and feasibility studies related to the acquisition of cultural facilities may also be considered. Applicants to this program must be first-time property owners, have an annual operating budget between $400,000 and $1 million, and a minimum 10-year track record for actively performing, creating, presenting and/or exhibiting arts and cultural activities on a year-round basis. Units of government and educational institutions such as schools, colleges and universities may not apply.

In addition to satisfying other program criteria, eligible applicant organizations must:

• - have an operating budget between $400,000 and $1 million annually;
• - have a minimum 10-year track record for actively presenting programs of high artistic quality in rented spaces and venues; and
• - be first-time property purchasers.
